The Early Years - The Dream Begins 1960 - 1968

The Orillia Christian School Society was formed and set the following goals:

1.To promote the vision of Christian education in Orillia.
2.To raise money to make this dream a reality.

Committment to Christian Education 1968 - 1976

• A group of enthusiastic parents began by sending their children to Timothy Christian School in Barrie.
• A small bus is purchased to transport an increasing number of students to Barrie.

Christian Education in Orillia is a Reality 1976 - 1979

• A steering committee is formed with the mandate of establishing a Christian school in Orillia.
• A three-acre parcel of land was purchased in the city of Orillia.
• In September of 1979 Orillia Christian School opened its doors with 90 students and four staff members.

Years of Blessing - 1979 to Present

• In 1984 the second phase of Orillia Christian School was completed, adding three new classrooms to the building.
• In 1998 the third and final phase of the original master plan of Orillia Christian School was completed adding a gymnasium, a classroom, a kitchen, and two washrooms/change rooms.
• In 2000, Little Lambs Learning Centre for pre-schoolers was established.
• In 2003, additional property was purchased.  A new playground structure, a new street entrance and new parking lot were constructed.
